About The Position

Greenville Public School District Job Description Federal Programs Bookkeeper Qualifications: Competency in computer skills. Reports to: Director of Federal and State Programs. Job Goal: To assure the smooth, efficient operation of the Office of Federal Programs budgets. Mission and Goals Works with the Superintendent, Principals, and Director of Federal Programs to articulate and promote the school system's vision of learning and teaching Monitors and evaluates progress toward accomplishment of the system’s goals and objectives Develops goals and objectives, programs and operations that are consistent with school system vision, mission, and goals Ensures that unit and program plans are consistent with the system's strategic plan Organizes daily, monthly, and yearly schedules to facilitate learning and teaching in the schools Management of Educational Resources Administers the finances of the district with sound fiscal management and educational practices Assists with the development of the budget and makes allocations to schools in an equitable manner Achieves maximum results for available resources and money spent General Maintains a regular filing system Orders and maintains supplies as needed Maintains bookkeeping for federal programs Maintains inventory of federal equipment Requests monthly reimbursements on federal programs Prepares bills for payment Assists with the Consolidated Grant and other grant applications as requested Monitors expenditures to ensure that they have been specified in the program Performs any other tasks as required by the Superintendent of Education, the Deputy Superintendent, the designee of the Superintendent, and the Director of Federal Programs Terms of Employment: Ten, eleven, or twelve month year salary and work year will be established by the Board of Education. Evaluation: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Support Services Personnel.
