About The Position

Greenville Public School District Job Description Carpenter Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent. Demonstrated aptitude or competence for assigned responsibilities. Reports To: Director of Maintenance Job Goal: To work with fellow employees to effectively and economically accomplish job tasks assigned by the department. Missions and Goals Works with the Superintendent and those who he/she supervises to articulate and promote the school system's vision of learning and teaching Monitors and evaluates progress toward accomplishment of system goals and objectives Ensures that unit and program plans are consistent with the system's strategic plan Organizes daily, monthly, and yearly schedules to facilitate learning and teaching in the schools

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Demonstrated aptitude or competence for assigned responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Conducts maintenance repairs on all equipment as directed by his/her foreman and the Director of Maintenance.
• Makes repairs on roofs of school district's buildings.
• Assists supervisor in making regular checks on thermostats in implementing the district's energy conservation program.
• Makes periodic inspections and repairs of individual building hardware.
• Implements in a timely and efficient fashion all work orders assigned to him by the maintenance office.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Superintendent, the Deputy Superintendent, the Director of Maintenance, and/or the Superintendent's designee.
