About The Position

We are seeking a self-motivated, goal-oriented individual to assist with day-to-day operations. This role is responsible for the timely and accurate processing of accounting transactions for all entities under Palmieri Enterprise, which includes Dino Palmieri Salon & Spa, Palmieri Builders, and several real estate and land development entities. The Bookkeeper will oversee daily, weekly, and monthly accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, deposits, credit card processing, and invoices. The position also involves banking activities, vendor contract reconciliation, billing for real estate entities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and assisting with financial statement preparation and tax filings.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail oriented, ability to show initiative and take responsibility.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and MS Office (MS Excel and MS Word).
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work.
  • Knowledge of office management systems and procedures.
  • Working knowledge of office systems and equipment.

Nice To Haves

  • 3 years of Bookkeeping experience.
  • Experience with QuickBooks.
  • Associates or Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Knowledge of construction accounting.
  • Familiarity with bank draws and preparation of lien waivers.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with day-to-day operations.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of the accounting transactions of all entities under Palmieri Enterprise.
  • Oversee all daily, weekly and monthly accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and deposits, credit card processing, and invoices.
  • Process bank deposits and reconcile bank statements.
  • Reconcile and coordinate vendor contract activities.
  • Handle billing and oversight on real estate entities, including monthly tenant billings and annual CAM reconciliation.
  • Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with preparation and coordination of required information to external CPA firm for annual tax return preparation.
  • Disburse required semi-annual tax payments for real estate entities, quarterly CAT return filings, and monthly sales tax reports.
  • Issue annual 1099s and gather W9 data and oversee independent contractors.
  • Assist with month end and year-end financial statement preparation.
  • Perform account reconciliations and other ad hoc analysis.
