Bonding Intern
About The Position
Microwave Techniques is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to support the development and refinement of a specialized bonding process utilizing proprietary adhesives and techniques. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently, demonstrate strong documentation and organizational skills, and have a foundational understanding of composite materials or prior experience in a manufacturing environment. This role offers a hands-on opportunity to contribute to process improvements, gain exposure to advanced materials, and support innovation within a leading engineering and manufacturing team.
Nice To Haves
- Basic understanding of composite science, materials, or related engineering concepts
- Hands on experience with wet Layup and/or resin Infusion.
- Manufacturing or lab experience (academic or professional)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Excellent written documentation and communication skills
Responsibilities
- Assist in developing, testing, and refining bonding processes using proprietary adhesive systems
- Document procedures, results, and process changes with a high level of accuracy
- Perform hands-on work in a lab or manufacturing setting
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to support process validation
