Requirements

  • Strong understanding of all phases of a Body Shop operation.
  • 3-5 years of experience as an Estimator or in a similar role.
  • Excellent organizational skills, capable of managing multiple estimates simultaneously.
  • Valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
  • A dedicated work ethic with a focus on teamwork and company success.

Responsibilities

  • Assess damaged vehicles, accurately determining the extent of structural, mechanical, and interior damage.
  • Develop detailed estimates for labor, parts, and repair costs, including evaluating repair versus replacement options.
  • Notify the Body Shop Manager of jobs exceeding 25 hours for planning and technician expectations.
  • Build and nurture relationships with existing customers, seeking opportunities for additional business.
  • Prepare precise and timely repair estimates to facilitate efficient workflow.
  • Negotiate and finalize pricing with customers, ensuring transparency and satisfaction.
  • Maximize revenue by leveraging all product lines-paint and body, mechanical, and more-within each account.
  • Communicate clearly with customers regarding repair progress, changes, and completion timelines.
  • Provide technicians with detailed parts and repair instructions.
  • Cultivate long-term professional relationships with clients and vendors.
  • Maintain effective communication across all shop departments to ensure coordinated operations.
  • Work flexible hours, including extended shifts and weekends, as needed.
  • Uphold safety standards and ensure compliance with all workplace regulations.
