About The Position

The Body Shop Estimator at VALLEY FORD TRUCKS- MASTER is responsible for assessing vehicle damage, estimating repair costs, and ensuring efficient and high-quality service delivery. This role involves working closely with customers, technicians, and insurance companies to facilitate the repair process and ensure customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in automotive estimating or a related field.
  • Proven track record of accurately assessing vehicle damage and estimating repair costs.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive repair processes and body shop operations.
  • Proficient in using estimating software such as CCC ONE, Mitchell, or Audatex.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills to interact effectively with clients and insurance adjusters.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in preparing estimates and documentation.
  • Ability to interpret and apply technical information from repair manuals and bulletins.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize workload efficiently.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree or certification in automotive technology or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience working in a body shop or dealership environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough inspections of damaged vehicles to determine the extent of damage.
  • Prepare detailed and accurate estimates for repair costs, including labor, parts, and materials.
  • Communicate effectively with customers to explain estimates, repair processes, and timelines.
  • Collaborate with insurance adjusters to negotiate repair costs and ensure alignment with insurance policies.
  • Coordinate with the body shop team to schedule repairs and ensure timely completion of work.
  • Maintain detailed records of estimates, repairs, and communications for future reference.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving any issues related to repair estimates.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, repair techniques, and pricing to ensure competitive and accurate estimates.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies during the estimation and repair process.
