Position: VanZandt Controls and Eagle Automation has an opening for a Board Repair Technician to capitalize on the capabilities and success of a strong team in the fast-paced market of New Mexico. Position is based out of our Farmington, NM office. The candidate will be responsible for duties which include, but are not limited to: Repair of circuit boards, assist in the design and build of jigs, communicating repair timelines to customers, inventory management, assist in developing board repair operational procedures (ex: antistatic policies, workstation presentation, cleaning requirements, etc.), manage day to day workloads assigned, assist walk-in customers as needed and developing those relationships, and effectively communicating with operations and inside support. In helping to develop all areas of the board repair services, you will be required when needed to help with logging in boards from customers, entering work tickets and converting those tickets into sales orders then processing the shipment of the boards back to the customers. Ideal candidate would have experience in the following: Research and develop new diagnostic procedure for new and existing electronic boards . Provide on site troubleshooting and calibration of various measurement devices for customers in the field. Troubleshoot various electronic boards and repair using factory quality components. Maintain repair facility and equipment ensuring the best practices for quality troubleshooting/ repair is conducted. Conduct surface mount and through hole component replacement Research and compare components using component data sheets to find alternative compatible parts Used common electronic equipment to aid troubleshooting; digital multimeter (fluke), oscilloscope, variable DC power supply, RF generator and receiver, thermal camera.

Requirements

  • At least 2+ years' experience as a board repair technician
  • Advanced soldering skills required
  • Circuit Board knowledge and experience is a must!

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience repairing boards in the Oil & Gas industry preferred.
