About The Position

The Board shall regulate the practice of psychology, the practice by psychology associates, and the practice of behavior analysis. The board consists of 6 members: 4 shall be psychologists licensed in the District; 1 shall be a behavioral analyst licensed in the District; and 1 shall be a consumer member. No member shall be appointed to serve more than 3 full consecutive 3-year terms.

Requirements

• Professional members must have a minimum of three years' experience in practicing one or more of the professions or occupations regulated by the Board.
• Consumer member(s) shall: Shall be residents of the District at the time of their appointments and while they are members of the Board
• Be at least 18 years old
• Not be engaged in the regulated occupation or in training to become a professional in the field
• Not have a household member who is engaged in the regulated occupation or is in training to become a professional in the field
• Not own, operate, or be employed in or have a household member who owns, operates, or is employed in a business which has as its primary purpose the sale of goods or services to regulated professionals or facilities.

• Strong preference for District residency, with representation from all 8 wards
• Current District of Columbia residents will receive priority and advanced preference for screening and interviews.
