About The Position

This is a one year full-time visiting instructor position in the Department of Psychology beginning August 2026. Job Description: Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Teaching 24 credit hours per year (8 courses; 4 courses per semester) across a wide range of psychology topics Hold office hours Collaborate with other faculty teaching common courses Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success, as well as working with broadly diverse communities Maintain knowledge and awareness of digital accessibility including the Americans with Disabilities Act and Section 508. Produce and remediate digitally accessible materials in accordance with FLC standards. Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Undergraduate Degree from Fort Lewis College
  • Doctorate or Masters in Psychology from an APA accredited program, completed by July 2026

  • Demonstrated success and training teaching undergraduate students in psychology
  • Experience or demonstrated interest in teaching a diverse student population
  • Area of specialization is open, but the ability to teach introductory courses, research methods, social, and/or developmental coursework are desirable
