About The Position

Westford Veterinary Emergency and Referral Center is seeking a board-certified Remote Veterinary Radiologist to join our 24/7 emergency and referral hospital in Westford, MA. As a Remote Veterinary Radiologist with Westford, You will provide expert interpretation of imaging studies, support clinicians and referring veterinarians with diagnostic insight, and contribute to high-quality patient outcomes — all from the comfort of your home or office. Requirements

  • DVM or VMD degree from an accredited institution.
  • Board Certification in Veterinary Radiology (DACVR, ECVDI, or equivalent).
  • Exceptional skills interpreting a full range of veterinary imaging modalities.
  • Proficiency with PACS systems and tele-radiology platforms.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate virtually.
  • Ability to manage workload independently while meeting reporting turnaround expectations.
  • Ability to obtain veterinary licensure in Massachusettes

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in emergency/referral or specialty hospital settings preferred
  • Experience with quality assurance, training, or mentoring veterinary staff preferred

Responsibilities

  • Interpret diagnostic imaging including X-rays, CT, MRI, and ultrasound studies and deliver timely, accurate reports.
  • Evaluate advanced imaging (cross-sectional and 3D modalities) with precision and clinical insight.
  • Communicate diagnostic findings with clinicians, specialists, referring veterinarians, and hospital teams.
  • Consult on complex medical and surgical cases to guide treatment planning.
  • Collaborate remotely with a multidisciplinary veterinary team to support patient care.
  • Help develop and refine imaging protocols, reporting standards, and quality controls.
  • Participate in clinical case reviews, discussions, and continuing education initiatives.
