We are seeking a Board Certified Autotransfusionist (Cell Saver Technician) to support the Veteran community at the medical center in Gainesville, FL. Position Highlights: Logistics: Contract Type: Base year plus four (4) – one (1) year option periods Schedule: Monday through Friday for eight (8) hours a day from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m Location: Gainesville, FL

Requirements

• U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder
• Full and unrestricted license to practice medicine in any State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia
• 10+ years of experience
• Certification as an Autotransfusionist
• Basic Life Support (BLS)

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience with the VA is a plus

Responsibilities

• Support procedures and patients that are in the Intensive Care Unit requiring balloon pump/Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) support
• Direct Patient Care: 90% of the time involved in direct patient care
• Administrative: 10% of time is not involved in direct patient care
