About The Position

BCBA --- Seeking PER-DIEM Availability to Supervise Behavior Therapists and RBTs Location: 17 Watchung Plaza Montclair, NJ, 07042 Skills: Board Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA) We are seeking an experienced BCBA to join our team at Montclair Speech Therapy (MST). The successful candidate will be responsible for providing and overseeing the treatment of clients with Neurodiverse individuals. Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Special Education, Psychology, or related field.
• BCBA or BCaBA Certification in good standing is required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Ability to demonstrate competence in behavior management skills, instructional skills, oral and written communication, organizational skills, and interpersonal relations.
• Ability to work with a variety of clients, ages and functionality with minimal supervision.
• Arrive on time and prepare for your day-to-day operations and scheduled clients.
• Promotes a safe and clean environment for clients of all ages.
• Function in a supervisory capacity and provide oversight to all areas of programming, including training direct support professionals.
• Facilitate and assist in developing and identifying resources and support information for clients and their families.
• Provide model teaching and other direct instructional supports, including, but not limited to, practicum supervision/teaching, class instruction, and in-service instruction to other support professionals.
• Assist in the development and implementation of assessment tools, conduct functional assessments and analyses when appropriate, and to develop appropriate behavior strategies to teach appropriate behavior and reduce maladaptive behaviors.
• Provide ongoing support and training to direct support professionals, ABA implementers, and other individuals in support roles for families.
• Create an ongoing data collection system to establish baseline and programmatic efficacy for all clients and to analyze data on a frequent and ongoing basis to guide programming.
• Develop behavior plans/treatment plans for all consumers for skill acquisition and behavior reduction.
• Conduct meetings with supervised staff to discuss ongoing consumer issues and to provide support when necessary.
• Review and sign off on behavior plan/treatment plan training for all field staff and provide field supervision when necessary.
• Maintain highly organized, consistent, thorough, and systematic recordkeeping.
• Enter session notes within 72 hours of each session.
• Assessments are required to be completed within 120 hours of your scheduled workdays.
• Flexible availability, which includes but not limited to Monday through Friday, after school hours 3:00pm-6:30pm
• Provide consultation services and to maintain ongoing communication with all constituents (other supports, parents, community, and community agencies).
• Keep current with the literature, new research findings and resources. In addition, continuing education courses to maintain BCBA certification are necessary (32 credits every 2 years).
• BCBA will report summaries of clients’ progress, supervision, parent training, and treatment planning on a regular basis.
• Perform other duties as assigned, such as scheduling, billing, and answering phones.
• Assist in the maintenance of facility cleanliness.
