About The Position

As a BMS Lead Field Service Technician II here at Honeywell, you will provide technical support, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Working knowledge of low voltage circuitry and logical troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge and experience with Tridium, Honeywell, Metasys, or Siemens building automation platforms.
  • 3 years related mechanical and HVAC Direct Digital Controls (DDC) experience required.
  • Knowledge of standard control products based on Tridium, Echelon, Lon mark, ModBus, BACnet or other open technologies for Building automation/integration solutions.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical knowledge of HVAC, electronic and mechanical systems and/or Direct Digital Controls Systems.
  • Knowledge of HVAC controls, and computer systems.
  • Experience in creating program files for various application specific controllers.
  • Set trends and reports as required by management.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and various sequences of operation.
  • Network knowledge with TCP/IP communications and supervisory devices a plus.
  • Excellent oral, written, phone, and customer-relations skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled routine preventive maintenance on mechanical or electrical equipment/systems under contract agreement by inspecting, adjusting, cleaning and calibrating systems and checking out equipment to ensure it's in satisfactory working order.
  • Complete preventative maintenance in a manner that reduces emergency calls and results in achieving the goal of zero calls back.
  • Respond to emergency service calls as directed to keep system downtime to minimum. Analyze, trouble-shoot, repair and restore equipment/systems to full operation and recommend revisions/replacements when necessary to improve system.
  • Make minor repairs to mechanical units, remotes, I/O equipment, CPU's and software systems.
  • Perform or assist with installing simple control systems or modifications to existing systems.
  • Instruct and/or train customers or customer representatives on systems maintenance and operating procedures.
  • Promote, build and maintain good customer relations and assist in contract retention; inform supervisor of customer needs, requirements, systems status, and actual or potential customer problems.
