About The Position

Calyx Living is actively seeking energetic Bistro Cook for our BRAND NEW assisted living community, Calyx Living of Apex , opening soon! We are located in beautiful Apex just off I-540 at Hwy 64. With our new community in the final stages of pre-opening, Calyx is looking to hire NOW Bistro Cooks who are enthusiastic about working with a small crew in our bistro, impacting the lives of seniors by preparing and presenting food. The ideal candidate would be a self- starter with past experience cooking and preparing meals in a senior living setting.

Requirements

• Cooking experience a must
• Must be able to follow recipes and plate food in an attractive manner
• Must be able to understand and comply with state regulations established for food service
• Must be able to prepare, organize and handle minimal special requests of senior residents
• Must be able to interact with residents in a professional and friendly manner
• Must be quick and efficient during peak meal service times
• Must be available to work weekends
