About The Position

Bethany Athletic Club, a premier, upscale athletic club and spa just north of the Beaverton/Hillsboro area, is extremely excited to bring new talent and services to the Bethany community! Our vision is to create and maintain a premier club that provides an excellent recreational and social experience for the entire family. We seek a skilled cook to work afternoon/weekend hours, as well as other hours as needed to help ensure our Bistro prepares and delivers superb dishes to our guests.

Requirements

2+ years of experience in food and beverage and/or health club or hospitality industry preferred
Food Handlers Card required by 1st shift. (Cost is $10)
CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications (provided and paid for by us) must be obtained within 60 days of hire
Ability to work weekends as necessary
Must be 18 years of age
All team members must have the basic ability to use computer/smart phone applications for training and company system purposes.
Employees must also be able to comprehend written documents such as work orders, safety rules, instructions, policies, and procedures.
Also required is the ability of employees to speak and communicate effectively with clients, coworkers and management.

Responsibilities

Prepares a variety of ethnic breakfast, lunch and dinner dishes and recipes.
Cleans work area and equipment per department procedures after each use.
Guides completion of daily prep lists and job assignments.
Maintains punctual, regular and predictable attendance.
Works collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation.
Displays excellent communication and remains calm and courteous under pressure.
Completes all daily temperature logs.
Assists in washing dishes as needed.
Uses correct cooking skills and properly operates broiler, grill, sauté, and oven.
Labels, dates and covers all food items for proper storage.
Keeps all kitchen items stocked.
Serves as a customer service contact for members at the bistro, including answering questions, welcoming and other member communications
