About The Position

Anglian Water supplies around 350,000 tonnes of Biosolids to land each year and it is critical that we follow regulatory compliance within several pieces of legislation to ensure our environment is protected and to ensure we maintain our Satisfactory Sludge Disposal Environmental Assessment Measure. In this exciting role as a Biosolids Compliance Technician you will assist in the processing and delivery of a compliant Biosolids supply to agricultural customers by working closely with our Biosolids Sales and Marketing Team colleagues and assist in the reporting of data to stakeholders including regulators by working in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • Able to manage expectations in order to build and maintain good working relationships with key internal stakeholders.
  • Good teamworking skills and able to work together to achieve objectives.
  • Plan, prioritise and organise workload so that targets and deadlines are met.
  • Able to adapt communication styles, both written and verbal, to suit a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Able to maintain data in an effective way to ensure the accuracy of data supplied to external bodies such as Environment Agency as well for internal purposes.

Responsibilities

  • Process customer orders ensuring process and procedures are followed to ensure we maintain our Satisfactory Sludge Disposal Environmental Performance Assessment measure.
  • Input data into bespoke compliance / regulatory systems, along with data manipulation and interpretation with regards to Farmer Nutrient Reports (FNR’s) and soil results
  • Generate Farmer notifications and feedback reports.
  • Compile compliance data and reports.
  • Support and advise the sales team, interpret data and make decisions based on compliance requirements.
  • Create, amend and delete permits to deliver and spread biosolids.
  • Manipulate and interpret soil analysis and cake analysis and fact check during production of trial applications.
  • Create benefit statements including all relevant compliance information for each individual field / stockpile.
  • Examine external data sources and make decisions with regards to finding the appropriate information to include in deployment
  • Inspect documents and ensure correct paperwork is completed and submitted to the Environmental Agency
  • Liaise with laboratory teams regarding any delays in soil sampling.
