We have multiple openings for graduate level students and for students that received a bachelors or master’s degree to engage in practical research to further their educational goals. Opportunities include both computational and experimental research on problems associated with bioenergy, microbial communities, biodefense, and innate immunity. These positions are in the Physical and Life Sciences Directorate, Biosciences & Biotechnology Division. You will Work with biologists, biochemists and computational scientists engaged in research on specific projects. Conduct research in assigned area under limited direction and supervision. Report and translate data using common software packages on a PC and/or Macintosh computer. Perform technical assignments of a basic degree of complexity and provide advanced technical support to scientist in scientific research and development projects. Present work through presentations and/or poster sessions. Perform other duties as assigned.
