Requirements

  • Associate Degree in Biomedical Technology (BMET), Electronics Engineering or related field OR successful completion of Military BMET training.
  • At least two (2) years experience in a Biomedical Technician role.
  • Strong understanding of health care operations.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated project management skills.
  • Flexibility to meet travel requirements which vary depending on primary site locations.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Skilled in the use of standard test equipment and tools use for the maintenance of clinical equipment.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist clinics in troubleshooting non-operational equipment and submit service requests to vendors as needed.
  • Participate in projects such as inspections and installation of new medical equipment.
  • Perform and/or oversee calibration testing and annual inspections on clinical equipment.
  • Attend various meetings to provide relevant information as necessary.
  • Travel to clinic sites to handle service calls, repairs, and preventative maintenance.
  • Coordinate equipment tagging and manage inter-clinical equipment moves, updating documentation accordingly.
  • Coordinate equipment repairs and maintain documentation of performance, cleaning, and maintenance.
  • Demonstrate high service standards, responding promptly to customer requests and anticipating needs.
  • Utilize tools and test equipment appropriately, maintaining an inventory of assigned tools.
  • Assist purchasing in maintaining biomedical equipment supply inventories and verify receipt of supplies.
  • Comply with applicable equipment codes and guidelines, assisting in training of healthcare personnel.
  • Demonstrate adaptability and flexibility, minimizing organizational cost through product standardization and tracking.
  • Serve as liaison between facilities and purchasing to ensure appropriate delivery and setup.
  • Validate delivery and sign off on invoices, tracking records, licenses, inspections, warranties, and service agreements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
