Requirements

  • Associate's degree or higher in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working with medical imaging equipment.
  • Strong understanding of medical imaging technologies, including MRI, CT, and Ultrasound.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with clinical staff and engineering teams.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory standards and compliance requirements (e.g., FDA, ISO).
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Ability to successfully clear a Tier-1 (Public Trust) background investigation.
  • Applicants must be U.S. citizens or currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
  • This position supports a federal government contract and requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability Determination, depending on the agency’s background investigation requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • A valid biomedical equipment technician certification (e.g., CBET).

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and repair of medical imaging equipment such as MRI, CT, and Ultrasound machines.
  • Document service performed in compliance with regulatory requirements and internal protocols.
  • Work closely with healthcare professionals to assess equipment performance and reliability.
  • Provide troubleshooting support and technical assistance for medical imaging systems.
  • Assist in developing and implementing equipment management programs.
  • Stay current with advancements in medical imaging technology and best practices in biomedical engineering.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities.
