The Biomedical Technician Equipment Support Specialist will perform routine maintenance, calibration, and repair of medical imaging equipment such as MRI, CT, and Ultrasound machines, work closely with healthcare professionals to assess equipment performance and reliability, and provide troubleshooting support and technical assistance for medical imaging systems.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree or higher in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working with medical imaging equipment.
  • Strong understanding of medical imaging technologies, including MRI, CT, and Ultrasound.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with clinical staff and engineering teams.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory standards and compliance requirements (e.g., FDA, ISO).
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Ability to successfully clear a Tier-1 (Public Trust) background investigation.
  • Applicants must be U.S. citizens or currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
  • Requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability Determination.

Nice To Haves

  • A valid biomedical equipment technician certification (e.g., CBET).

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and repair of medical imaging equipment such as MRI, CT, and Ultrasound machines.
  • Document service performed in compliance with regulatory requirements and internal protocols.
  • Work closely with healthcare professionals to assess equipment performance and reliability.
  • Provide troubleshooting support and technical assistance for medical imaging systems.
  • Assist in developing and implementing equipment management programs.
  • Stay current with advancements in medical imaging technology and best practices in biomedical engineering.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities.
