About The Position

Participates and directs, under supervision, the electrical safety, preventive maintenance and equipment repair programs for the biomedical equipment. Monitors and schedules Biomed technicians to achieve most efficient and cost-effective outcomes.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
  • Minimum of 5 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Licenses and/or certifications in areas that significantly affect hospital finances.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exist.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, talk or hear and taste or smell.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
