Inspire health. Serve with compassion. Be the difference. Job Summary Responsible for inspecting, installing, calibrating, and maintaining medical equipment. Performs electrical safety tests, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal functionality. Assists technical staff to maintain consistency in operations. Perform electrical safety tests, calibrations, troubleshooting, and repairs to ensure proper operation. Conduct operational checks, identify problems, and replace or adjust faulty components. Compare performance against operational parameters and return equipment to service promptly. Follow scheduled maintenance to prevent failures and ensure compliance with manufacturer standards. Apply knowledge of test instruments to assess and maintain equipment functionality. Complete detailed work orders and maintain timely equipment maintenance records. Order parts, tools, and supplies, verify deliveries, and report shortages. Inspect, document warranties, perform safety checks, and ensure proper installation and training. Communicate equipment status, updates, and necessary upgrades to supervisors and users. Works on-call on a rotating basis. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Education - Associate degree in Electronics, Biomedical Equipment Technology OR completion of a U.S. military electronic/biomedical program.
  • Experience - Three (3) years of medical equipment experience.
  • A valid driver’s license; an acceptable motor vehicle record, as defined by the Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) Chart; and proof of auto insurance.
  • Ability to read electronic and electrical schematic drawings and service manuals.
  • Understanding of medical terminology and ability to communicate in a medical environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Customer service skills.
  • Electro-mechanical troubleshooting to the component level.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Maintain strong interpersonal relationships with staff, vendors, and the public.
  • Ability to provide technical assistance and training on equipment operation and maintenance.

Nice To Haves

  • ICC Certification for Biomedical Equipment Technology preferred.
  • Healthcare experience preferred.
