The RG Biomanufacturing Operator I is responsible for performing tasks associated with Aldevron’s Research Grade (RG) services within the Upstream department. This role is expected to become familiar with all of Aldevron’s products and be able to perform most tasks associated with the purification of plasmid DNA. This position reports to the RG Upstream Supervisor, is part of the RG Upstream team located in Fargo, ND, and will be an on-site role. The schedule is Monday-Friday, 7:00AM-3:30PM. Requirements

• Education: High school Diploma required
• Strong problem solving, critical thinking and time management skills
• Ability to follow written instructions and work effectively in a team-based environment
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time

Nice To Haves

• Associate’s degree in biology, chemistry, or molecular biology preferred
• Previous experience in: Microbiology Laboratory experiences

Responsibilities

• Perform various laboratory practices like bacterial inoculation and harvest, transformation, cell banking, linearization, and gel electrophoresis utilizing E. coli bacteria
• Perform plasmid purification and assessment using agarose gel electrophoresis
• Train in functions performed across other teams within the Research Grade building
