This Biologist will plan, organize and independently conduct complex experiments and assist in the interpretation and recommend changes to scientific protocols and procedures.

Requirements

BS in Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry or a related science
0-2+ years of related lab experience
Mammalian Cell Culture experience
RNA/DNA extraction experience, Preferred
Media and Buffer preparation experience, Preferred

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Work independently following instructions or scientific protocols
Maintain infrastructure of laboratory and an organized, clean and safe working environment
Ensure proper handling and disposal of biohazard materials and/or hazardous chemicals
Collaborate and present results during team or project meetings
Contribute to report writing and other publications.
Prepare SOPs/working procedures
Perform data analysis and propose design of next experiment
Contribute to troubleshooting activities
Work according to external and internal guidelines (e.g. SOPs, GxP, HSE, and AW)
Perform basic lab testing, including: Mammalian cell culture and transfection, either suspension or adherent Aseptic Techniques Buffer and Media Prep 96-well plate-based cellular assays Cell banking Basic bacterial growth, isolation, and transformation RNA/DNA Extraction Optimization Studies Method and Assay Development
