About The Position

Corewell Health operates over 300 outpatient clinics across Michigan, offering a multitude of care options in over 40 different types of primary care and specialty practices. This provides opportunities for staff to learn and explore various interests or specialize in one area. Under the direction of a licensed professional, the Medical Assistant performs and oversees functions within their scope of practice related to clinical activities. This includes maintaining patient flow by assisting and promoting healthcare delivery, performing technical procedures, and clinically-oriented activities. The Medical Assistant also assists management in achieving office efficiencies according to stated policies/procedures to ensure efficient operations, focusing on supporting physicians, clinic staff, and management, embodying a "Service First" philosophy to promote customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Successful completion of a competency-based Medical Assistant training program
  • 1 year of relevant experience working in a physician practice or healthcare setting
  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association 90 Days required or CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross 90 Days required
