About The Position

Corewell Health operates over 300 outpatient clinics across Michigan, offering a multitude of care options to the communities they serve. These clinics include over 40 different types of primary care and specialty practices, providing opportunities for staff to learn and explore various interests or specialize in one area. Under the direction of a licensed professional, the Medical Assistant performs and oversees functions within their scope of practice related to clinical activities. This includes maintaining patient flow by assisting and promoting the delivery of health care, performing technical procedures, and clinically-oriented activities. The Medical Assistant will also assist management in achieving office efficiencies in accordance with stated policies and procedures to ensure efficient operations, with a focus on supporting physicians, clinic staff, and management, embodying the "Service First" philosophy to promote customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Successful completion of a competency-based Medical Assistant training program
  • 1 year of relevant experience working in a physician practice or healthcare setting
