About The Position

AECOM Technical Services, Inc. is seeking a BIM Specialist in Seattle, WA. Job Details: Manage multiple large complex models and coordinate the models of each sub within the project team. Coordinate internal AECOM and external A/E disciplines for successful outcomes during construction. Find and understand new software to help the team stay at the forefront of design. Teach team members Revit/BIM skills. Run clash detection in the models and resolve issues with the team. Provide architectural design and support on complex projects. Develop contract documents through all phases of design (SD, DD, CD). Prepare architectural plans, elevations, sections, details, and specifications. Coordinate quality control reviews of contract documents prior to issuance to client. Coordinate and attend design reviews with clients, project managers, and municipal agencies. Liaison with design and drafting groups. Perform advanced technical assignments of various complexities within approved schedules and budgets. Coordinate technical and administrative activities with employees in other disciplines and other departments participating on an assigned project. Assist in the training and evaluation of assigned architectural and design/drafting personnel. Create the project BIM guidelines and help develop the project BIM standards with the client and general contractor. Give guidance to project team on how to implement guidelines and standards. Local telecommuting permitted up to 2 days per week. Full-time.

Requirements

  • Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Design or related field and 0 years of work experience in the BIM industry or as Architectural and Construction Engineer or related occupation.
  • Alternatively, the Employer will accept 2 years of work experience in the BIM industry or as an Architectural and Construction Engineer or related occupation.
  • Employer will accept experience and skills gained through work experience or in pursuit of university-level degree via coursework, projects, or internships. Skills may be gained concurrently.
  • Experience in the following: Autodesk Revit
  • Creating Revit families that streamline the work
  • Architectural/Engineering Drafting
  • Assisting in development of Architectural design, detailing and coordination of models with other design disciplines
  • Producing construction documents in BIM environments
  • Managing ACC environments
  • Navisworks
  • Dynamo
  • DiRoots
  • Leading cross discipline BIM meetings
  • Initiating and evaluating parametric formulas to achieve intended design concepts
  • Creating BIM guidelines for a project and coordinating with project team for proper implementation and use
  • Creating BIM template for a project and coordinating with project team for proper implementation and use
  • Managing BIM Content Library
  • Pushing software updates out to project team
