About The Position

This position is an experienced level (3-yrs+), non-engineering track position, responsible in preparing documents for AG&E precast projects under the direction of senior staff. This includes BIM modeling of erection plans, components, connections, details, and piece tickets. Duties include coordination of architectural, civil, structural and MEP plans, elevations, and details, along with coordination with precast manufacturers. Work under the direction of precast engineers, other precast BIM Specialist, and precast BIM Manager. Manage precast BIM Technicians and other precast BIM Specialist as assigned.

Requirements

• Basic communication skills, including verbal and written
• Able to: work from verbal and written technical direction from senior staff at a basic level work effectively within a team environment with a group of diverse professionals organize and manage own time effectively organize, plan, and perform tasks effectively read and interpret technical and construction documents continuously strives to advance skills with effort inside and outside office back check own work and strives for quality
• Basic understanding of: commercially-available office software (Word, Excel, Adobe/Bluebeam, etc.) CAD and BIM software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Tekla or equivalent
• Able to work extended periods (multiple hours) of the day at a computer
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in producing precast documents
• Junior College Associates Degree, Technical College Degree or equivalent work- and industry-related experience; or Bachelors in Architectural, Civil, Industrial, or Structural Engineering, or Bachelors in Architecture Technology or equivalent work- or industry-related experience

Responsibilities

• Prepare ALL work in accordance with approved office processes, formats and standards
• Work on assigned tasks, under direction of engineering staff, preparing required documents in CAD or BIM
• Work on prospects for sales developing presentations using Revit, Tekla, or other 3D modeling platforms
• Perform tasks accurately and on time with necessary guidance, and proactively seek advice on tasks as needed
• Meet task deadlines and adhere to budgeted hours
• Check quality and accuracy of work performed by others
• Volunteers to work hours need to meet deadlines
• Volunteers to work additional hours to assist other (not assigned work) to meet deadlines
• When asked, works hours needed to meet deadlines
• When asked, works additional hours to assist others (not assigned work) to meet deadlines
• Participate in external/in-house seminars and training activities/sessions
• Mentor and provide guidance to other BIM staff when needed
• Work under the direction of precast engineers, other precast BIM Specialist, and precast BIM Manager
• Manage precast BIM Technicians and other precast BIM Specialist as assigned
• Perform other duties as assigned
