Position Summary Walker White Mechanical is seeking an experienced BIM Coordinator to join our Columbia, SC team. This role is critical in supporting project execution through accurate BIM modeling, coordination, and collaboration with project managers, engineers, and field teams. The ideal candidate will have strong Revit experience and a solid understanding of mechanical systems.

Requirements

Proven experience as a BIM Coordinator or similar role in the mechanical construction industry
Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit (required)
Knowledge of HVAC and mechanical systems
Experience with clash detection and coordination workflows
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

Nice To Haves

Experience with Navisworks or similar coordination tools
Field experience or understanding of construction installation processes
Familiarity with BIM execution plans and project standards

Responsibilities

Develop, manage, and coordinate BIM models using Autodesk Revit
Create and maintain accurate mechanical models and construction documents
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and field personnel to resolve clashes and design conflicts
Participate in coordination and clash-detection meetings
Maintain BIM standards, workflows, and best practices
Assist with prefabrication modeling and shop drawing production
Ensure models align with project schedules and construction sequencing
Support project teams throughout all stages of construction
