As one of the largest independently owned engineering firms in the U.S., our team of 500+ professionals operates from nine offices nationwide, bringing deep expertise and a commitment to excellence to every project. As a Billing Specialist you will be able to grow from within our team-oriented department, while being mentored and trained on in-house reporting tools. You will be responsible for daily data entry of project contract information, billing transaction processing, and project cost reporting. This position will work closely with all levels of personnel within the accounting department as well as interact with project managers and clients on a regular basis.

Requirements

• 1-5 years accounting experience
• Associate, Bachelor or Relevant work experience
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment to meet department deadlines
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Strong Written & Verbal Communication skills
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements
• May sit for extended periods of time
• Must be able to use wrists for typing and filing
• Must be able to bend and twist

Nice To Haves

• Experience using web-based systems a plus

Responsibilities

• Enter & maintain project data
• Maintain & update client address database
• Process & distribute weekly/monthly project reports
• Communicate project cost information to project managers
• Preparation of monthly project pre-bills & final invoicing to clients
• Assist in resolving client billing issues
• Post journal entries to the general ledger
