About The Position

Responsible for the insurance billing process between the hospital and insurance companies, federal agencies & third-party payers. Audit patient accounts to ensure procedure, charges and coding procedures are accurate. Collects payment from commercial insurance, state & federal agencies. This is a full-time, benefited position, totaling 40 hours per week. Hours will be from 8:00am - 4:30pm. No weekends or holidays!

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• A minimum of one year of experience in a healthcare business office setting performing insurance processing, collections, or admissions is required
• Word processing: excel knowledge, and basic windows-based computer skills
• Independent problem-solving skills and self-directed work experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Well organized and detail oriented

Nice To Haves

• Associates degree preferred
