About The Position

As the Billing Manager, you will lead and support the billing team, fostering a collaborative and growth‑focused environment while ensuring accurate and timely billing according to revenue recognition policies across multiple markets. This role provides guidance on key accounting activities, including accounts receivable (AR) review, general ledger (GL) schedules, and escalated billing issues, while empowering staff through coaching, development, and clear communication. The position prioritizes team engagement, process improvement, and strong cross‑functional relationships to drive both departmental success and a positive employee experience

Requirements

  • Between 1-3 years’ of experience in a supervisor and/or Manager role.
  • Five years prior accounting or related experience.
  • Intermediate to Advanced skill with MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience, preferably in Business or Accounting.
  • Must be detail oriented and able to work in a fast-paced, high volume environment in an efficient manner.
  • Excellent at managing time and priorities.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to lead and develop a team.
  • Must be a team player and able to work with other individuals in and outside the department (at various levels) in a positive manner.
  • Must be able to recognize and meet deadlines and volume goals (must be results oriented).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong follow up skills.

  • SAP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee daily billing operations by managing workflow, assigning responsibilities, and monitoring to ensure accurate and timely invoicing across all business units. This also includes aged orders, tax invoices and payment complements.
  • Manage month‑end close activities by coordinating across departments, tracking status of outstanding items, and escalating concerns early to ensure all billing is completed within corporate timelines.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (e.g., Customer Operations, Inventory, AR, and IT) to remove blockers, resolve issues, and maintain alignment on deadlines required for month‑end close.
  • Coach, develop, and support billing staff through training, performance feedback, and ongoing guidance to strengthen skill sets, promote accountability, and maintain a high‑performing team culture.
  • Review and update departmental standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure accuracy, and evaluate processes to implement efficiency‑driven improvements.
  • Ad hoc projects, as needed.
  • Analyze billing performance.
  • Provide leadership communication by reporting progress, risks, and process changes to senior management and cross‑department partners, ensuring transparency and informed decision‑making.
