POSITION SUMMARY The Billing and Accounts Payable Analyst is a fast-paced, detail-oriented position that supports the accounting functions of billing, accounts receivable and accounts payable. An ideal candidate must have a good understanding of revenue and expense cycles. Must be able to complete tasks with a high level of accuracy and efficiency.
Requirements
- Associates degree in accounting or related field.
- Knowledge of accounting software such as Microsoft Business Central.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication, research, and customer service skills.
Nice To Haves
- Prior accounts payable and billing experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Creating and issuing invoices to customers.
- Processing accounts payable invoices and matching to purchases orders, following up with operations and vendors when discrepancies arise.
- Processing credit memos.
- Following up on outstanding payments and answering customer queries.
- Updating accounting records with issued invoices, processed payments, new balances, and customer contact information.
- Resolves account discrepancies by reviewing vender statements and investigating documentation, payments, or adjustments.
- Developing and maintaining Excel spreadsheets.
