About The Position

The Billing Analyst owns the accuracy, integrity, and flow of customer billing. This role sits between operations, finance, and customers—making sure invoices are righ and issues get resolved before they become problems. This is not a junior data-entry role. You’re expected to understand how money moves through the business and to tighten the system over time.

Requirements

  • 3–6 years of experience in billing
  • Strong understanding of invoicing and billing controls
  • High attention to detail without losing sight of deadlines
  • Comfort working across systems and spreadsheets (Excel/Sheets required)
  • Ability to explain billing issues clearly to non-finance teammates

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in healthcare, SaaS, or subscription-based businesses is a plus
  • Experience with Stripe strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Generate, review, and issue customer invoices on a recurring and ad hoc basis
  • Reconcile billing data against contracts, usage, pricing, and payments
  • Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, credits, adjustments, and disputes
  • Partner with Finance on month-end close, revenue reconciliation, and reporting
  • Maintain billing accuracy across systems (CRM, billing platform, accounting software)
  • Support audits by providing billing documentation and clear explanations
  • Identify billing errors, process gaps, and inefficiencies—and fix them
  • Build and maintain billing reports, dashboards, and exception tracking
  • Collaborate with Customer Success and Sales on contract changes and renewals
  • Manage and help recover overdue payments from customers
