About The Position

Job Summary:# Plan, coordinate and supervise all operational EVS activities. Provide opportunities and material to assist in training and guidance to all staff members using continuous performance improvement techniques to accomplish department objectives, driving patient and employee satisfaction, and developing excellent working relationships with all internal customers.# Provide input to department managers in all planning, operational, and budgeting functions, including vendor management. Play a vital role in controlling cost to ensure the department is aligned with the direction of the organization. Work in conjunction with Human Resources to effectively recruit, develop and retain a stable and competent workforce; work with peers, senior level leadership, physicians, and clinicians to resolve operational matters; and, work effortlessly with labor oriented work groups to accomplish difficult EVS functions or operations.# Qualifications:

Requirements

• High School Diploma required.
• 1-3 years of progressive Healthcare, Hospitality, Laundry or Military leadership experience required.
• Strong interpersonal relationships, financial and planning skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent customer service skills required.
• Computer skills including Microsoft Office and demonstrated ability to learn departmental and organizational programs; including Gmail, Employee Evaluations, Net learning, Position Manager, Quantros, McKesson, Eworks, Kronos, ATP program/audits, and EPIC.
• Initiative/problem solving skills required to manage and foster a team environment.
• Knowledge of EVS policies and procedures and have demonstrated ability to deal tactfully with hospital employees and the public.
• Ability to teach and train staff effectively to achieve high performing individuals using standard work.
• Available to work any shift including weekend and holidays when needed.
• CHEST, CSCT, Just culture and crucial conversations certifications required within 12 months of Employment.
• Participate in 12-month program and pass a comprehensive computer based exam.
• Must be fluent in English and Spanish
