About The Position

Carrier Enterprise (CE) is a national distributor of residential and light commercial Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) products, parts and supplies through licensed HVAC/R dealers and contractors. CE operates primarily in the business-to-business environment where its products are sold through licensed HVAC dealers and HVAC contractors. These dealers are independent companies that sell, deliver and service Carrier, Bryant & Payne products to residences and businesses in their respective markets. With over 200+ locations, in 28 states, Puerto Rico, the Caribbean, Latin America, Mexico and Canada there is a location to service our customers HVAC/R needs The HVAC Commercial Sales Bid Coordinator provides commercial quote sales support. They are responsible for working collaboratively with the sales team to review new construction quote requests, assign quotes to the appropriate sales channel, prioritize quotes, manage quote related correspondence, send quotes to bidders, manage a structured quote follow up process, post bid information to the cloud and manage internal software systems. The Bid Coordinator must be able to manage multiple projects and communicate with internal and external customers to assure customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent (GED); Associates or technical degree preferred
  • Highly motivated self-starter, able to work with minimal direction required from management
  • Qualified candidates will have both a business and a technical background
  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Good computer skills and common software literacy
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Solid critical thinking, problem-solving and planning skills
  • High level of personal accountability; sense of urgency and self-initiative is a must

Nice To Haves

  • HVAC distribution experience or similar industry experience preferred
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft and Salesforce software

Responsibilities

  • Work with insides sales to evaluate bids for new construction projects
  • Collect, organize and post job related information
  • Maintain on-line quote systems and quote files
  • Follow up on assignments to make sure all quotes are provided prior to deadline
  • Maintain productive relationships with customers and internal sales channels
  • Generate and provide monthly bid reports
  • Provide post bid follow up with external customers
  • Maintain good relations with customers by providing prompt reply to incoming calls and e-mail
  • Manage the inside sales e-mail in box to ensure all requests are addressed
