We invite you to join us in our vision of “Making Lives Better!” Essential duties and responsibilities: Staff will maintain ethical and professional communications at all times using respectful Trauma-Informed Care language Serves as a Skills Trainer/Case Manager for Juvenile Probation and Parole TCOOMMI (Texas Correctional Office for Medical and Mental Impairments) program. This is an intensive caseload. Services are provided in Amarillo, specifically Potter county for identified juveniles with behavioral health issues and involvement with the juvenile justice system Duties include assessment, treatment planning, working within the team to ensure appropriate services are delivered, engaging family by providing outreach and education, and taking a family & person-centered approach to help identify strategies and objectives for treatment Will be responsible for teaching and role modeling skills that addresses community living, social, coping, problem solving, anger management, parenting, and self- control skills to families and youth Will be trained in evidence-based curriculum to help improve daily functioning Provides services via phone & face-to-face, in both home and community-based settings This position will spend at least half of his/her working time directly working with the youth, family, and/or family supports Position will assist and collaborate with Juvenile probation counterpart and the Children and Adolescent Behavioral Health Team in promoting skills development Position will organize, provide culturally competent care activities and collaboration among all participants involved with the individual’s care Adheres to TPC Business Code of Conduct and reports concerns if ethical and/or business standards defined in the code are compromised
