About The Position

Responsible for managing overall Beverage Operations in assigned venues and casino floor to meet guest service standards, quality standards, and revenue targets within budgetary guidelines. Position requires working in an environment where smoking is permitted. Must be comfortable with exposure to smoke while performing job duties.

Requirements

  • Must have good knowledge and understanding of Beverage service processes and protocols.
  • Must possess strong computer skills.
  • Must be able to effectively manage multiple work teams in fast paced environment, address guest and team member concerns, while maintaining professional composure.
  • Must have excellent communication (verbal, written) skills and be able to read, write, and speak fluently in the English language.
  • Must have excellent organizational skills.
  • Must have or obtain valid Title 4 and Alcohol Awareness certification upon hire.
  • Must have or obtain valid Food Handlers’ certification upon hire.
  • Must be 18+ years old and be available for all shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. and pass a drug test and background check for an AZ Gaming License.
  • Must adhere to all Cliff Castle Casino Hotel policies and procedures.
  • Must be committed to providing exceptional guest service through a welcoming, friendly, and professional environment.
  • Aim to exceed guest expectations with attentive, personalized service and prompt responses and resolution.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Beverage service as manager/above.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain current knowledge of all CCCH & Department special events & promotions and share information with teams to enhance service delivery and guest service.
  • Maintain and demonstrate current knowledge of beverage menus, products, and how to use all equipment, including the point-of-sale system to ensure compliant and efficient operations of department.
  • Ensure guest service and satisfaction is achieved and maintained by overseeing beverage service, safety standards, staff allocations, venue cleanliness, brand standards, and compliance with CCCH policies and procedures.
  • Resolve Guest and Team Member concerns and disputes in a timely and effective manner.
  • Recruit, Interview, select, coach, recognize, and retain all Beverage Team Members with consistency.
  • Ensure Department training and ongoing Team Member development is conducted within time requirements.
  • Ensure staff schedules adequately meet anticipated business levels.
  • Ensure venue equipment is maintained and functioning.
  • Review and analyze inventory, recommending or approving purchases to replace, restock, or improve beverage offerings.
  • Keep beverage menus current with fresh ideas and trends.
  • Liaise between department Director and Supervisors to ensure pertinent information is moving appropriately through the department from the Director level to staff level and vice versa.
  • Host regular individual and team meetings.
  • Ensure Beverage Supervisors are completing reports: shift reports, counseling notices, performance evaluations, attendance, training, timesheets, side work logs, inventory, incidents, loss/breakage, tips, etc. in an accurate, timely, consistent, and efficient manner.
  • Build and maintain effective partnerships with Department Managers to identify, plan, and address business needs and opportunities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Work with Storytellers on monthly drink and wine specials.
