You’ll manage daily operations—including enrollments, qualifying life event changes, invoicing, eligibility updates, and employee inquiries—while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and a positive employee experience. You’ll also support open enrollment planning and execution, vendor coordination, process improvements, and the development of benefit packets and communication materials. Every other week, you will present benefit information during New Hire Orientation, helping new employees feel welcomed, informed, and supported from day one.

Requirements

  • 2–3+ years of HR and 2–3+ years of benefits administration experience.
  • Solid knowledge of benefit plan design, compliance, and regulations (ACA, ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, etc.).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, customer service, and critical-thinking skills
  • Confident presenter with the ability to explain complex benefits clearly.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong time-management and multitasking abilities.
  • Professional, dependable, empathetic with impeccable follow-through.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively.
  • Proficient in HRIS and benefits administration systems; ADP experience preferred.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills; HRIS proficiency required.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a knowledgeable point of contact for employees seeking benefit guidance.
  • Process benefit enrollments, terminations, life event changes, COBRA, and status updates with accuracy.
  • Audit benefit data, deductions, and invoices; resolve discrepancies with Payroll, vendors, and HR partners.
  • Support open enrollment planning, communication, and execution.
  • Present benefit information at New Hire Orientation every other week.
  • Draft and distribute benefit communications, guides, and educational materials.
  • Partner with HR and vendors on wellness initiatives and benefit improvements.
  • Partner with Benefits Manager on benefits compliance activities, including managing the Compliance Dashboard, ADP ACA Dashboard, and ensuring adherence to federal and state regulations (e.g., ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, ACA, FMLA).
  • Coordinate annual Education Assistance benefits.
  • Participate in HR projects, process improvements, and department initiatives.
