More about our team The Benefits Coordinator assists with daily administration of Company Benefit Plans, to ensure compliance for medical, dental, vision, wellness, life and disability plans, and deferred compensation. Works closely with benefit carriers to ensure proper plan administration and eligibility file accuracy. Partners with HR department managers to ensure accurate benefits communication and address escalated employee benefits questions. How you’ll contribute A Benefits Coordinator excels in this role: Research and accurately communicate multiple plan designs across multiple facilities. Coordinate and assist with the daily administration of the Lifepoint Hospitals Health and Welfare and Deferred Compensation Benefit programs, including but not limited to: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), Life, All Disability, Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA), Health Saving Account (HSA), Health Reimbursement Account (HRA), Health Employee Assistance Program (EAP), Adoption Benefits, and Tuition Reimbursement. Manage all areas of deferred compensation plans including research, funding wire transfers, reporting, death claims, and auditing; troubleshoot issues and resolve discrepancies. Respond to tier 2 business tickets, emails, and phone calls related to escalated benefits issues; research the root cause and communicate resolution. Support annual and ongoing enrollment activities and events to ensure accuracy of all Plan communications materials and eligibility information and electronic files. Serve as a resource to facility HR staff, as well as other members of the Hospital Support Center (HSC), HR department and employees with respect to all Benefit Plans, including participation in New Hire Orientation and Merger and Acquisition (M&A) activities. Act as a liaison and proactively follows up with individual vendors on items that require further research. Process invoices and checks related to benefits. Communicate with benefit carriers regarding plan design and proper administration. Manage the recurring file transfer processes on a weekly basis, including but not limited to: Files to and from the Company’s HRIS system, Benefit Enrollment vendors, files to and from various other benefit related vendors. Manage the Oracle transition process for facilities as needed. Regular and reliable attendance. Perform other duties as assigned.
