How you’ll contribute A Benefits Coordinator who excels in this role: Works closely with Case Management, Utilization Review, and Billing Office to support compliant billing practices. Verifies eligibility, benefits, coverage limits, authorization, admission notification for inpatient and observation accounts. Supports up-front and point-of-service collection efforts by providing patient liability estimates. Escalates for resolution of financial risk issues. Performs patient registration functions when needed. Participates in audits, quality reviews, and denial prevention initiatives Visits patients prior to discharge to discuss financial arrangements and provide financial assistance. What we’re looking for Qualified applicants must have completed High School diploma or equivalent. 1-2 years of hospital patient access, insurance verification or revenue cycle experience is required. Requires a working knowledge of health insurance (Commercial, Medicare/Medicaid, Managed Care Plans). Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office applications) and previous experience with hospital registration systems is required.
