About The Position

Under the general supervision of the Benefits Manager, the Benefits Coordinator supports the administration of all MBI-sponsored benefit programs and special projects. Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the position. Co-handles with Benefits Administrator the on-boarding of new employees enrolling into MBI’s benefits program. Coordinates the processing of all new hires, including answering questions and providing instructions about the UKG Benefits Administration system, and reviewing enrollments. Make appropriate manual changes (enrollments and departures) on all carrier websites. Handles any adjustments needed to employee records/pay checks due to non-participation in the wellness program. Coordinates all changes with Payroll. Manages monthly Cigna 1 on 1 meetings including announcements, scheduling, and necessary follow-up. Processes payment of all vendor benefits invoices and sends to Accounts Payable to be paid. Maintains all aspects of the transit benefit program. Processes monthly changes and places order on portal. Manages Life Event (Newborn, Marriages, etc.) requests via UKG gathering necessary documentation. Handles Evidence of Insurability (EOI) processes for life insurance coverage. Sending out reminders and corresponding information between UKG and Guardian. Deposits any COBRA checks along with any other checks received from insurance carriers. Provides general assistance and customer service to employees with questions about benefit issues. Handles all aspects of the employee service awards program. Send quarterly reports to O.C. Tanner to process for celebrants. Assists with the set up and implementation of MBI’s annual Open Enrollment through UKG. Purchases and sends out greeting cards for employee events, orders funeral flowers. Prepares “Weekly” announcements about employee weddings, births, deaths, etc. as needed. Prepares and distributes monthly Benefits Corner newsletter. Relays new hire and annual eligibility files for eHealth. Handles employee address and name changes as needed. Assists with benefit mailings to employees, former employees, and retirees. Provides general office support for Benefits area. Reconcile all P-Card transactions every month. Additional annual reporting/audits include HSA Bank amounts, transit, and other OE related items. Performs related and special duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Three years of general office administration experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong organization and attention to details.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Authorized to work in the US legally without sponsorship

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in Human Resources.
  • Exposure to and understanding of UKG Pro or other HR information systems.
