About The Position

The Benefits/HRIS Coordinator will support the benefits function, as well act as a liaison between HR and payroll with the maintenance of the HRIS platform ensuring accurate and up-to-date employee data management.

Requirements

  • Associates degree or higher in related field or commensurate experience
  • At least 2 years of recent experience working in a similar role within an employer-sponsored benefits department
  • MS Office proficiency with intermediate Excel skills (ability to create pivot tables, macros, etc.)
  • Understanding of employer-sponsored benefits, FMLA, ADA, HIPAA, etc.
  • Experience with an HRIS system (ADP a plus)
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive information
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Acts as first level resource for employee questions regarding benefits, leave of absence, PTO, and other HR policies, etc. Escalates more complex issues to next level as necessary.
  • Works closely with team to ensure all benefits billing/reconciliations are completed in a timely manner and assist team with self-funding claims processing.
  • Collaborate closely with benefits broker and external vendors on benefits and leave of absence issues, etc.
  • Collaborates with Benefits team and payroll staff to identify system/workflow improvements and enhancements; recommends and implements solutions.
  • Assist with access and security within the HRIS and vendor systems
  • Conducts data analysis and generates reports to support HR decision-making and compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends and developments within Human Resources
  • Performs other duties as assigned
