In short, as a Benefits Analyst (Specialist, Total Rewards), you will use data to help drive smarter, more cost‑effective benefits decisions. This role focuses on analyzing claims data, auditing vendor performance, identifying trends and anomalies, and translating complex information into insights that improve the overall health, experience, and financial sustainability of our benefits programs. In long, as the Benefits Analyst (Specialist, Total Rewards), you will be responsible for: Analyzing medical, pharmacy, and ancillary claims data to identify cost drivers, utilization trends, risks, and savings opportunities Building and maintaining recurring dashboards and reports to monitor plan performance, enrollment trends, and key financial metrics Translating complex data into clear, actionable insights and recommendations for HR partners and senior leadership Partnering with Finance on benefits budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis Conducting regular audits of benefits vendors, billing, eligibility files, and claims administration Identifying discrepancies, overpayments, process gaps, and partnering with vendors to resolve issues Monitoring vendor performance against SLAs and recommending improvements Supporting RFPs, vendor evaluations, renewals, and benchmarking initiatives Identifying unusual trends, outliers, and anomalies in claims and billing data and investigating root causes Recommending corrective actions and cost‑containment or plan design strategies based on data findings Supporting wellness, population health, and engagement initiatives through data insights Ensuring reporting and audit readiness to support compliance with federal and state regulations Continuously improving data processes, reporting tools, and analytics capabilities Partnering cross‑functionally with HR, Payroll, Finance, and external vendors
