Essential Job Functions Benefits Administration Administer employee benefits programs (health, dental, vision, retirement, wellness, and leave programs) Manage enrollments, changes, and terminations in HRIS/benefits systems Coordinate with vendors and brokers to ensure smooth plan operations Data Analysis & Reporting Analyze benefits utilization, costs, and trends Prepare reports and dashboards for HR leadership and finance teams Support budgeting and forecasting for benefits expenses Compliance & Regulatory Support Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., ACA, ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA) Assist with audits, filings, and required reporting (e.g., 5500 forms) Maintain accurate documentation and plan records Vendor Management Act as a liaison between the organization and benefits providers Evaluate vendor performance and assist in contract renewals Support RFP processes and vendor selection Employee Support & Communication Respond to employee inquiries regarding benefits coverage and claims Develop and distribute benefits communication materials Support open enrollment processes, including education sessions Program Improvement Identify opportunities to improve benefits offerings and employee experience Benchmark benefits against industry standards Recommend cost-saving strategies without compromising quality Other duties as assigned Other Skills & Abilities Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Advanced Excel/data analysis skills preferred Knowledge of benefits regulations and compliance requirements Attention to detail and high level of accuracy Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information Physical Requirements Talking, hearing and using hands to operate a computer keyboard, mouse and other computer components Sitting for extended periods of time Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources preferred 3+ years of experience in benefits administration or HR analytics Experience with HRIS and benefits platforms CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES Professional certification may be required in some areas.
