About The Position

We’re looking for… Rue Gilt Groupe is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Benefits Analyst to join our People & Total Rewards team. In this role, you will support the administration of our employee benefits programs, ensuring they are compliant and aligned with our business strategy and employee experience goals. You will partner closely with Operations, Payroll, Finance and external vendors to manage benefit programs across health and welfare, retirement, and wellness offerings. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, data-driven environment, enjoys solving complex problems, and is passionate about delivering an exceptional employee experience. As a Benefits Analyst, you will leverage data and insights to evaluate program effectiveness, support annual renewals and open enrollment, and help ensure accurate plan administration and regulatory compliance. You’ll play a key role in driving process improvements and supporting scalable benefits operations for a growing, dynamic organization.

  • You communicate clearly and confidently, whether responding to employee questions, partnering with vendors, or translating complex benefits concepts into understandable information.
  • You thrive in environments where accuracy matters, deadlines are tight, and continuous improvement is encouraged.
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Finance or a related field preferred. (or equivalent experience)
  • 2+ years of experience in benefits administration or HR operations.
  • Working knowledge of employee benefits plans and applicable laws and regulations.
  • Experience with HRIS and benefits administration systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures the accuracy of all benefits enrollments in UKG to provide vendors with accurate eligibility information.
  • Administer and support employee benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, retirement, wellness, and voluntary benefits.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for benefits administration, responding to employee inquiries and resolving complex benefit issues with accuracy and discretion.
  • Partner with Operations, Payroll, Finance, and external vendors to ensure accurate eligibility, enrollments, deductions, and data integrations.
  • Support annual benefits renewals and open enrollment activities, including plan setup, testing, employee communications, and system configuration.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA), including support for audits and required filings.
  • Assists in monitoring ACA eligibility.
  • Maintain benefits documentation, policies, procedures, and plan materials to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Responds to benefits inquiries from managers and employees on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, status changes and other general inquiries.
  • Partners with third party administrators for leave of absences including ADA Accommodations, Family Medical Leave, and Short-Term Disability.
  • Communicates leave approvals/denials with General Managers and People Team Business Partners.
  • Calculates STD pay and collaborates with the payroll team on a bi-weekly basis.
  • Monitor vendor performance and assist with issue escalation and resolution.
  • Identify opportunities to improve benefits processes, systems, and employee experience through automation and best practices.
  • Support benefits-related projects and initiatives as needed, including system implementations and enhancements.
