About The Position

Position Summary: This position is responsible for administering employee benefits programs within the organization. This role ensures that all benefit plans, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, retirement, and other ancillary benefits, are effectively communicated and maintained in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in benefits administration
  • Proficiency with HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience in leave administration preferred
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong knowledge of benefit laws and regulations
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
  • Significant emphasis on attention to detail, quality, and the ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees
  • Ability to work well under pressure and to effectively manage multiple tasks and constantly changing priorities
  • Strong sense of ownership for assigned responsibilities and customer focus

Nice To Haves

  • Professional certification (e.g., CEBS, PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Administer and oversee the day-to-day operations of employee benefits programs, including enrollments, changes, terminations, and claims resolution.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employees regarding benefits-related inquiries, providing clear guidance and support on plan provisions, eligibility, and coverage options.
  • Collaborate with insurance carriers, brokers, and third-party vendors to resolve benefits issues and ensure accurate plan administration.
  • Assist with annual open enrollment processes, including preparing communication materials, testing, processing employee selections, etc.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee benefits records in HRIS and vendor partner systems.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local benefits regulations, such as ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, ACA, and FMLA.
  • Prepare and distribute required notices, reports, and documentation to employees and government agencies as needed.
  • Assist with benefits-related audits and participate in the development and revision of benefits policies and procedures.
