About The Position

A Bellman's main duty is carrying luggage for the guests as they come to or leave the hotel. He should also attend the main entrance door, elevator landing area and welcome/farewell guests. Also, arrange, manage transfers, help guests with directions, perform as the first and last impression for them with professionalism, personable, and provide excellent customer service skills. The Bellman is responsible for providing friendly and efficient service to guests while transporting their luggage and providing other services as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Able to lift, push, and pull heavy objects.
  • Outstanding customer service skills.
  • Able to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in the hospitality or customer service industry preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests upon arrival and escort them firstly to the desk and after checking in to their designated room.
  • Load and unload luggage onto carts and transport them to and from guest rooms and curbside assistance to and from transportation.
  • Assist guests with check-in and check-out procedures.
  • Provide guests with information about the hotel services and amenities.
  • Answer guest inquiries and address their concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist guests with luggage storage and retrieval.
  • Assist guests with transportation needs and provide directions to local attractions.
  • Ensure the lobby and other public areas are clean and organized.
  • Keep the storage rooms neat and clean.
  • Receive and store packages in an organized order and register them in the tracking log in a daily basis.
  • Deliver packages, letters, and guest items to the guest rooms.
