About The Position

The Bell Attendant serves as an insider’s perspective of Hotel Bennett. They perform complete and thorough room orientations explaining the amenities and outlets to our guests. The Bell Attendant has an important role in the guest’s evaluation of the hotel and its services. It is a highly guest-interactive position. It is essential that they possess an extensive/intimate knowledge of the hotel policies and procedures, as guests will require a vast array of services and information. Reports to Guest Services Manager.

Requirements

  • Minimum of High School Diploma; prefer college degree in hospitality.
  • Past hotel/resort experience preferred in a luxury setting.
  • Previous hotel/resort experience preferred in a luxury setting
  • Varied work schedules, ability to work as it pertains to the needs of the guests of the hotel
  • Bell Attendants must be able to lift fifty (50) pounds
  • Must possess the ability to remain calm in a stressful and/or hurried environment
  • Must be physically able to transport luggage over the course of an eight (8) hour shift, and remain standing for a vast majority of that shift.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate in a professional manner extensively with guests
  • Treat each interaction as an opportunity to connect with our guests
  • Ability to multi-task; be team orientated and resolve challenges that may arise
  • Transport luggage to and from the guestrooms, deliver time sensitive materials such as: facsimiles, overnight packages, guestroom amenities, and shoe shines
  • Facilitate guest traffic in the lobby by opening doors
