About The Position

- The Behavioral Tech II (Part-time) at LIFESTREAM BEHAVIORAL CENTER is responsible for providing support and assistance to clients with behavioral health needs. This role involves implementing therapeutic activities, monitoring client progress, and ensuring a safe and supportive environment to promote client well-being and recovery.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Minimum of One (1) years’ experience in substance abuse and mental health setting is required
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
Proficient in basic computer applications and electronic health record systems.
Demonstrated ability to manage stressful situations and make sound decisions under pressure.
Compassionate and empathetic approach to client care, with a focus on promoting recovery and wellness.

Nice To Haves

CNA preferred.
Desirable to have experience working with psychiatric or co-occurring consumers of all ages.

Responsibilities

Assist in the implementation of individualized treatment plans by engaging clients in therapeutic activities and interventions.
Monitor and document client behaviors, progress, and any significant changes, ensuring accurate and timely reporting to clinical staff.
Support clients in daily living activities, promoting independence and self-care skills.
Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment by following established protocols and procedures.
Collaborate with clinical staff to provide comprehensive care and support to clients.
Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge in behavioral health practices.
Respond to crisis situations appropriately and effectively, utilizing de-escalation techniques as needed.
Uphold confidentiality and ethical standards in all client interactions and documentation.
